Foxcrafts fitted
The other day Jens called to say that he had finished my original rear fenders and my Foxcrafts, and they were now ready for me to mount on the car.
I must say I didn´t hesitate picking them up, and getting them on the car.
After some hours work I got the oval down from the jack stands, and for the first time I could really have a look at how well the skirts suited the car!
I must say the fit of the skirt against the fender is perfect! And Jens have made a top notch job painting both the skirts and fenders, thank you!
So yesterday I took the oval out for this years first wash, and I snapped a couple of pictures too. Now we only need the salt to get of the roads, and the spring to come to Denmark.

Ménage à trois
The past week end we finished assembling Jens´ engine.
It was a simple task as the engine always has run perfectly, so it was basically just painting the engine tin, get the generator renovated and mounting a nos carb, and he is ready to hit the german autobahn, heading for Hessisch Oldendorf.
On the picture you see jens´engine to the right, and my spare bone stock engine to the left, and of course the Express in the middle.

Vandalism
I recently got this NOS right side fronter qaurter panel, but at some point some morron have cut out around some of the bolt holes to get some small repair sections.
It´s shame to destroy such a nice panel, don´t you think?
So I have grafted in some new metal, and now I only needs to drill a couple of holes and weld on some weldnuts.

The oval project part 5
The other day Jens and I got all the mechanical parts to his sunroof trial fitted, and before that Jens had changed all the sliding blocks on the sunroof.
Those 3 folds are not as easy to work on as the later 2 fold models.
Next up is polsthery shop, if they ever find the time to fit the ragtop and headliner.

Artwork?
Lately I wondered if I should get another hobby besides the volkswagens, so this morning I went to my garage to find out if I might have a more artistic side.
After a couple of hours work I had created my first artwork!?
It´s a oval dash hanging on the garage wall, and under it is hanging a original vw sign from a danish vw dealership, it says ORIGINAL RESERVEDELE and that translates to ORIGINAL SPAREPARTS.
The other sign is a peoples choice trophy from a danish meeting called B.U.B. and that is one of the best danish meetings if you ask me.
But back to the artwork, I guess after seeing what I came up with, I just have to stick to the volkswagens :-).
